Access Deezer in the US & Japan (+ Anywhere)

Deezer Logo

Deezer is not available in the US or Japan. Boo Hoo.

Deezer is a French music streaming website with around 22 million users globally and growing. Unfortunately, Deezer doesn’t allow access to its content to users worldwide, so if you live in the U.S. or Japan you will be prevented from logging in.

This is due to legal restrictions surrounding the content that Deezer provides. Deezer’s servers are able to recognize that your are located outside of France because they can pinpoint your location via your I.P. address and block your access. Thankfully, there are ways to gain access to Deezer in the US and Japan, or anywhere else where it’s been banned, or service may be limited.

It is possible to change your IP address with the help of a virtual private network, or VPN. A number of VPNs are available online for a low monthly cost, providing unlimited bandwidth for high quality streaming. A VPN provides you with a new IP address to access Deezer anywhere regardless of your locale.

French IP AddressYou may want to choose a French IP address, because it’s a French service, and the French version is probably the best (originals always are). For this, you’d need a French IP address. However, if you can’t speak French, you may want to choose an IP in a place that speaks a language you understand. Perhaps the UK or Australia (English).

This is an anonymous and legal way to unblock access to any streaming website, not just Deezer. In a few minutes you could explore any website’s content, with excellent connection speeds and streaming quality. You’ll have to check out where the website is accessible and change your IP accordingly, but the pretty much works for all streaming TV and music websites.
