iOS 4.0 earlier named as iPhone 4.0 was touted to have to have 1500 new features. Some of the biggies in the list of features were a unified inbox, data detectors, multitasking and app folders. The iOS 4.0 was designed to automatically take advantage of the popular Retina Display in Apple devices.
The OS was specifically designed to automatically redraw exiting apps and play them at higher pixel density. iOS 4.0 also received some system-wide enhancements. Several features in iOS 4.0 have improved that includes Spell-check, Text replace, Wi-Fi, Voice Control, Virtual keyboard and several other system components. Apple has also added multitasking support for third party apps in iOS 4.0 OS.
